Treatments for scarring

A new, smoother you

Scars are areas of fibrous tissue (fibrosis) that replace normal skin after injury. A scar results from the biological process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. Whilst some people embrace their scars as part of their individuality, others find them unsightly and can suffer a subsequent loss of confidence.

Skin resurfacing with the eTwo™ is a very effective way of treating acne scars and striae. Dr Brooks has had very impressive results by using this radio frequency treatment. More details can be found here.

SkinPen® can also be used to very good effect to significantly reduce various types of scarring, predominantly acne scarring.

Which of the treatments for scarring is best for you will be determined by Dr Brooks after a free of charge initial consultation.
