Want to know more about Polynucleotides? – Mirabel Clinic – Swindon

Polynucleotides are a newly emerging trend in anti-ageing injections. Injectable cosmetic procedures are constantly evolving and new research into the healing properties of specific substances means that we now have so much more choice in the components we can use for skin and facial rejuvenation. Polynucleotides (PNs) have gained attention in the field of aesthetics due to their potential applications in skin rejuvenation and tissue regeneration. We are excited to introduce new treatments, using the Plinest range of polynucleotides, to Mirabel Clinic, here in Swindon.

What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides (full name polydeoxyribonucleotides) are long chains of nucleotides that make up DNA and RNA molecules. They are derived from fragments of fish DNA (which resemble human DNA), which means that they have the ability to function as a biostimulator, kick-starting regeneration in the skin. Not only are they anti-inflammatory, thanks to their antioxidant properties, but they increase collagen production, resulting in a thicker, healthier epidermis. When expertly injected into specific areas of the face by a medical professional, Polynucleotides hydrate tired and ageing skin. Polynucleotides are filtered and ultra-purified before use. The DNA fractions initiate your body’s own natural fibroblast production, resulting in a thicker epidermis (up to 52% in 23 days) and an increase in collagen production (up to 47% in 23 days). The result is more resilient, youthful and healthy looking skin.

Why should I choose Polynucleotides?

If you are looking for transformative skin rejuvenation then this may well be the treatment to choose. Versatile and long-lasting, Polynucleotides address various skin concerns and provide ongoing improvements. These natural substances stimulate collagen production, restoring elasticity and radiance. The procedure is quick, and requires minimal downtime, making it easier to fit seamlessly into a busy schedule.

What happens during a treatment using Polynucleotides at Mirabel Clinic?

After completing an initial consultation and standard consent forms here at Mirabel clinic, you will be able to undergo your first Plinest treatment. Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and a topical anaesthetic lotion will be applied, for your comfort throughout the treatment. Once this takes effect, your Mirabel practitioner will inject small quantities of the Plinest at various points of the face or the area/s to be treated. This can be slightly uncomfortable (some patients comment that it’s similar to a bee sting but not unbearable). Once the treatment has been completed, you can return to your daily activities without having to spend any time recovering at home. You may experience some slight raised lumps at the injection sites, but these should reduce within a few hours. There are very few risks to having this treatment, as Polynucleotides are extremely pure.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

The number of treatments you will need will depend on your individual skin concerns and expectations. We usually recommend 3 treatment sessions, 4 weeks apart for optimum results and then a maintenance session once every 6 to 12 months to keep your skin looking at its peak. Your initial results should continue to improve in the weeks and months that follow your initial treatment and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a good skincare regime at home, will only help maximise your results.
